What is a normal amount of times a day to have to urinate for a 25 year old adult male?

Darkwraith asked:

I’m 6 foot-250 lb guy and seem to be going more frequently than usual.Could I have diabetes or one of many other conditions that’d cause me to go more than six to ten times a day?

That is a lot. I think the average is three or four times a day. But diabetes is a pretty giant leap. You could just have an overactive bladder.

That does sound excessive. Symptoms of diabetes include excessive hunger and/or thirst, excessive ********* (are you getting up 2-3 times a night to ***?), tingling in the hands and feet for no apparent reason, being really tired and lethargic or sleeping a lot, weight gain or loss, and feeling really cranky or irritable or angry for no particular reason. A fasting blood sugar test done by your doctor will tell you if you have diabetes or pre-diabetes. If your fasting blood sugar is over 126 in two separate tests, you’re diabetic. Good luck. I think you should check with your doctor if you’re ****** that much. I wish you all the best.

A lot of that will depend on how much you are drinking per day. if you drink 8 glasses of water per day you can expect to visit the restroom 5 to 8 times a day. If your water weight is dropping and you feel dehydrated (typically not making it through the night without a glass of water) then there could be several reasons for that, not the least that you’re going too much.

The best advice anyone can give you is to see your doctor if you think there’s something abnormal about your daily routine. And especially so if there is a family history involved.

    Good health.
